- Chemicals and materials are not provided as standard - Users are expected to provide all chemcials chemicals (either shipped or ordered to Diamond) for their experiment. Whilst we may be able to access some more standard chemicals (e.g. HCl, IPA etc.), it is advised that the user checks the availability of chemicals with their local contact well in advance of at least 4 weeks prior to their visit and, wherever possible, provides seeks to provide their own supply. Any requests made after the 4 week deadline are significantly less likely to be fulfilled. Additional information regarding available lab equipment can be found in the "Peripheral Labs and Equipment" section of the "Beamline Information" page.
- Compressed gas requests present an exception to the above policy. These should be made to your local contact a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the visit.

- Some time may be required to configure the beamline - Whilst we try our best to have the beamline set up in advance of your visit, this is not always possible. This process can often be expedited by providing the local contact with useful sample information (such as Qmin requirements), a rough running order for samples (i.e. number of ex situ/in situ samples and a priority order) and accurate information regarding the sample geometry and environment.
- Your visit ends at 09.00 - At this time all of your samples and equipment must be packed away from all areas of the beamline. This includes the experiemntal hutch, control room and any peripheral labs. Please confirm this with your local contact before leaving. Any extension to this time must be agreed with your local contact in advance of your beamtime.
- All samples and containers (such as beakers or vials) should be labelled with the visit number, name of the investigator/group, date, and a suitable description of the material (where possible chemical composition).
