Do not attempt to do anything that you have not been trained to do by ePSIC staff.

  1. Start the Aztec software on the Aztec remote desktop.

  2. Create a new project in your session directory.
  3. Cool down the detector by clicking on the detector icon  in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and selecting thermal and clicking operate.
  4. Once cooled (this will take approx. 5 mins) you can insert the detector by clicking  selecting position and clicking in.  
When changing samples and at the end of your experiment please warm up and retract the detector by clicking selecting thermal, standby and position, out.
