Data Analysis- Post session

If you need access to compute resources to perform data analysis (beyond 40 days after the data has been collected), please inform a member of staff at ePSIC. The latest state of the visit (typically this would be the processing folder of your visit) will be then restaged on an STFC-managed platform (https://ada.stfc.ac.uk/) where you can get access to a similar software environment to DLS compute to continue with your data analysis.

After logging in to the ADA platform, select Diamond and login with your fedID and password:

Then select select New Workspace:

Select ePSIC as your beamline:

And select your preferred compute resource option (currently only one available):

Select the software you need for analysis and press CREATE WORKSPACE. The two main options are HyperSpy (similar to the epsic3.10 environment on DLS where we have most EM-related Python packages installed) and PtyREX (for ptychography).

You should see the workspace created:

You will receive a data_share link with your data. You can mount this data_share link via the Workstation info page:

The mounted data should be available under /mnt from terminal or through the file browser.
