Disposal/Return of Mail-In Samples

I15-1 has limited storage capabilities for samples and therefore they must be removed after 8 weeks of storage. This allows adequate time for checking data and determining whether samples may need a second collection.

Most samples can be disposed of at the beamline, if special disposal procedures are required, please inform your local contact and include this on your sample list.

In limited cases, samples may be returned to a user. However, the user may either physically collect the sample or arrange collection via couriers (Diamond prefers DPD). We are unable to dispatch user samples through our common routes due to the lack of SDS/COSHH safety sheets.
