Start the Aztec software on the Aztec remote desktop.
- Create a new project in your session directory.
- Cool down the detector by clicking on the detector icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen and selecting cool.
- Once cooled (this will take approx. 5 mins) you can insert the detector by clicking on the detector icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

| When changing samples and at the end of your experiment please warm up and retract the detector by clicking on the detector icon and selecting standby. |
