This page shows four graphs showing the bunch-by-bunch min/max, difference, mean, and standard deviation for the selected port and channel. This screen is available for ADC and DAC on both X/Y or I/Q channels.
- Michael Abbott: need to update screenshot when have live data available
The following graphs are shown on this screen. Each PV name is prefixed with $(device):$(axis):$(part)
where $(part)
is either ADC
or DAC
depending on the data source.
Title | PVs | Description |
---|---|---|
Min/Max |
| Shows minimum and maximum value for each bunch over the sample period (configurable by setting :MMS:SCAN_S.SCAN and measured by :MMS:TURNS ). |
Difference | :MMS:DELTA | Shows the difference MAX-MIN . This is the most direct measurement of bunch motion. |
Mean | :MMS:MEAN | Shows the average bunch position over the sample period. |
Standard Deviation | :MMS:STD | Shows the standard deviation of the bunch motion over the sample period. This is a slightly more sophisticated measurement of bunch motion than Overlaid on this graph we have the following three curves. These all update at a slower interval, typically configured for every 60s, and are designed for long term archival. |
:MMS:STD_MEAN_WF | Mean value of :MMS:STD over the last archival interval. So long as :MMS:MEAN does not move this is reasonably close to the overall standard deviation over the archival interval. | |
:MMS:STD_MIN_WF, :MMS:STD_MAX_WF | Minimum and maximum value of :MMS:STD over the last archival interval. |
At the bottom of this screen we have the following indicators:
