E01 is equipped with a Gatan Quantum GIF for electron energy loss spectroscopy.
- Set camera length to 4cm.
- Select 5mm entrance aperture on EELS spectrometer.
- Select dispersion value required.
- Select user mode.
- Set exposure time to something small.
- Adjust PL to maximise intensity of zero loss peak.
- Adjust focus x, y and Sx , Sy of zero loss peak.
- For data collection use SNR mode or HR mode.
- Once spectrum obtained highlight area around zero-loss peak, select SI menu and align SI by peak.
