TitlePVsDescription
Min/Max

:MMS:MIN, :MMS:MAX

Shows minimum and maximum value for each bunch over the sample period (configurable by setting :MMS:SCAN_S.SCAN and measured by :MMS:TURNS).
Difference:MMS:DELTAShows the difference MAX-MIN.  This is the most direct measurement of bunch motion.
Mean:MMS:MEANShows the average bunch position over the sample period.
Standard Deviation:MMS:STD

Shows the standard deviation of the bunch motion over the sample period.  This is a slightly more sophisticated measurement of bunch motion than :MMS:DELTA, which does not show outliers.

Overlaid on this graph we have the following three curves.  These all update at a slower interval, typically configured for every 60s, and are designed for long term archival.

:MMS:STD_MEAN_WFMean value of :MMS:STD over the last archival interval.  So long as :MMS:MEAN does not move this is reasonably close to the overall standard deviation over the archival interval.

:MMS:STD_MIN_WF, :MMS:STD_MAX_WFMinimum and maximum value of :MMS:STD over the last archival interval.

At the bottom of this screen we have the following indicators:

MMS:OVERFLOWThis status indicator should always read "Ok".  If any other value is indicated then a measurement error has occurred, probably due to a system misconfiguration.  Any fault will remain shown until :MMS:RESET_FAULT_S is processed
TitlePVDescription
Turns:MMS:TURNSThis shows the number of turns used to sample the currently displayed graph.
Mean mean:MMS:MEAN_MEANThis is the average of the position of all bunches over the sample period.
Std mean:MMS:STD_MEAN, :MMS:STD_MEAN_DBThis shows the average value of :MMS:STD, which can be used as a measurement of overall beam motion.  The value is also available as a logarithm in dB.
Source:$(part):MMS_SOURCE_SShows the currently configured source for this display.
