Beamline Overview
The beamline is a high-energy scattering beamline designed specifically for performing total scattering and pair distribution function studies.
Energies / Wavelengths
I15-1 operates using a single-bounce monochromator, so we’re restricted to three pre-defined energies:

Detector
I15-1 uses a Perkin Elmer detector:
Perkin Elmer XRD 4343 CT; 2880 x 2880 pixels; 150 µm pixel size
Collection Times
Whilst the amount of time required for a data collection depends on many factors, we typically estimate that a good quality PDF data set can be collected in 10 minutes.
